A Place For Annie

Read Keith Dudhnath's film review of A Place For AnnieIt's a little unfair to criticise the picture and sound quality, as they're as good as they ever would have been on TV. They never detract from the film, but won't impress DVD aficionados.
A lack of subtitles is always a shame on a DVD, even when the film is this bad.
The scene selection doesn't allow choice beyond the first four scenes, when watching on a computer. The actors' biographies are adequate, but only serve to show that each and every one of them have appeared in better movies than this.
Someone should point out to Odyssey Video that there's a reason why people fast forward through trailers.
What scant extras there are do not worth your time.
Usually the trailer for the film you've just watched is the least useful extra. In this case, it's the most useful extra: you can watch all three minutes of it instead of having to sit through the 95 minutes of the whole film. If only they'd taken an extra twenty seconds to tell you the ending then you'd know everything you need to know about the film, enjoy it just as much, and have 92 minutes free to watch something better.
