Airwolf: Season 1

Read Gator MacReady's film review of Airwolf: Season 1Filmed in plain, old full frame the show doesn't exactly look tip top. Colours are washed out and vague and the black of the Airwolf chopper is frequently greyish. The boring colour pallet doesn't liven anything up. If Universal really cared, or wanted to impress, they could have given the film a digital re-mastering and done some colour correction. It's not much better than a TV broadcast as is.
An utterly basic mono sound design is included. I'm not saying 5.1 would make it awesome, but the limited fidelity and blandness of it will always remind you that you're watching a really old TV show
There are absolutely no extras whatsoever.
It's also worth noting that this DVD contains the pilot episode, plus the other 10 episodes of Season 1. When originally released on video in the UK the pilot episode was, rather insanely, given an 18-certificate rating. This DVD is rated 12, but there is no difference between them.
