Eye For Film >> Movies >> Alone In The Dark (2005) DVD Review
This DVD package features all the usual audio and subtitle setup malarky, plus a few special features.
There are two short documentary style Making Of pieces, the first featuring the director and cast, the second the special FX guys, who reveal just how much this sort of film is assembled "in the box" - i.e. some scenes are virtually all CGI.
There are two storyboard-to-film comparisons. These, along with the scene-long bullet-time animatic, are worth watching simply to get an insight into how modern action films are constructed.
There are also five music videos, but as I'm not a death metal fan I feel ill equipped to offer any useful insight here.
Overall, however, I think that the package offers pretty good value.
