Currently on US import and with a UK edition to be released shortly, Beetle Queen Conquers Tokyo is a cinematic treat that translates well to the small screen. Whilst the epic mood conjured up by its landscape photography may be diminished somewhat, much of the film is about details. Small creatures, small moments, and the magic they contain. Parts of it will hold particular appeal for small viewers (thouygh they will need to be able to read subtitles), making it a good addition to a family collection.

Unfortunately the only special feature here is the trailer, but it's nicely put together and worth watching as a prelude to the main event. Whilst there are plenty of bigger name films out there, this is a little piece of Heaven, one of the best documentaries released in 2011.
