Eye For Film >> Movies >> Blood Moon (2014) DVD Review
An enjoyable but modest film is beefed up here by an impressive collection of extras that will keep you busy for some time. Cast and crew go into practically every detail of how the film was made, from their discovery of a a Wild West show town in darkest Kent (a place which, by daylight, looks like a budget Westworld without the androids) to the hazards of persistent mud and rain, the challenges of low budget special effects and how to keep an eight foot tall werewolf and a five foot tall lead actor in frame together. Films which have struggled like this are often the most useful to learn from and new filmmakers will find a lot of useful material here, but there's also a good deal to entertain the average viewer.
