Casualty: Series 2

Read Leanne McGrath's film review of Casualty: Series 2The 15-episode series comes on four discs with no extras whatsoever. Less to offer than the average NHS budget.
There is an episode selection menu but you no individual scene selection - a bit poor considering each episode is 50 minutes long.
An option to switch on the subtitles is the only other thing you get. Overall sound and picture quality is pretty basic but clear enough and there has been little or no enhancement since the show was originally filmed.
The lack of extras is reflected in the RRP of £29.99 - pretty reasonable for more than 12 hours of TV - but it would have been nice to get maybe a few interviews with the cast or creators, especially since the show is still going strong.
A 'where are they now' feature could have been entertaining since some of the cast - namely Brenda Fricker - have found Hollywood success, while many of the guest roles are filled by actors who have gone on to find fame, such as One Foot In The Grave's Janine Duvitski, EastEnders and Corrie's Ian Reddington, Four Weddings And A Funerals' Sophie Thompson and Taggart's John Michie.
