Typical widescreen and digital sound quality is present here, nothing less from production god, Jerry Bruckheimer.

Regulary listed as a typical lady's favourite film, I was worried that Coyote Ugly would be a run-of-the-mill chick flick, with nothing at all deep. I was wrong. And so I hoped that the extras would deliver something impressive as well.

The first two featurettes are presented in three short parts, each one explaining a different section of the movie. Well, they're supposed to. Both the Search For The Stars featurette and Coyote 101 are pretty much the same, and the time and effort invested in them may as well have been put towards a single half hour Making Of, the one thing absent on this disc.

Undenibly, there are some good interviews, and getting to know the cast, with Jerry Bruckheimer himself, is highly entertaining, as he unknowingly undermines everybody but himself. Poor guy.

However, the true interest comes from the Inside The Songs feature, which provides one-on-ones with LeAnn Rimes and songwriter Dianne Warren - responsible for the excellent Can't Fight The Moonlight. When watching the movie, you'll have to look out for star Piper Perabo lip synching to all of her songs. It turns out Rimes was singing the whole time, which makes me wonder why they had her playing herself later on in the film. Surely, someone will notice...

The additional scenes are normal, but could've done with an intro for each, or, if not, at least show us the end of the previous scene, so we know whereabouts it comes in the film. Somebody I know complained that these scenes should've been kept. Personally, I feel they do well as an additional feature. Make up your own mind.

Action Overload is the biggest waste of an extra ever invented. It's fast-paced action sequences from the movie and lasts under a minute. Complete and utter rubbish.

There's a feature not listed on the box that shows previews of other films, such as High Fidelity, which are nothing more than trailers that are shown at the begiining of the disc anyway. Don't waste your time.

The trailer of Coyote Ugly is what you would expect. Don't ever think you'll be surprised by a trailer, but you do run the risk of finding out most of the plot and seeing the best bits in under two-and-a-half minutes.

The music video is moving and beautiful and I honestly felt something emotional for the star of the film. It caused me to go out and buy the soundtrack, which, by the way, is top quality.

A sturdy fast-paced disc of a great entertaining film that anyone with spirit will enjoy. The extras promise a lot and deliver a little, but at least they're out of the way in under an hour.
