Read Jeff Robson's film review of Crooked House

Picture and sound quality are pin-sharp and there’s a very generous helping of extras. The Making Of is comprehensive and insightful, though perhaps a tad long. It also (personal bugbear alert) has plot spoilers but no warning – if you didn’t see the telly version, watch this after, not before.

What Frightens You has the cast reminiscing about supernatural experiences and their own inner terrors, and is worth a look. The deleted scenes don’t amount to much more than the ‘previously...’ and ‘next time...’ segments that linked each night’s episodes in the original transmission. But the outtakes provide some welcome light relief on a dark journey. A trailer and some stills round off a good-value package
