Daredevil - Director's Cut

Read Gator MacReady's film review of Daredevil - Director's CutFilmed in Super 35, the 2.35:1 anamorphic picture presents the cinematography well, with deep blacks and blues. It's necessary to watch this film in complete darkness to get the best view. There's nothing to complain of really, unless the perfect definition of Ben Affleck's bum chin sounds unappealing to you.
The Dolby/DTS 5.1 soundtrack packs a helluva punch during the fight scenes and sound effects are used to neat effect in the surrounds. Matt Murdock has a unique perception of sound and the design of the film takes full advantage of this. While not the best way to give your system a workout, Daredevil sounds really good.
Despite a few moments of silence, writer/director Mark Steven Johnson and producer Avi Arad chatter away in a newly recorded commentary for this Director's Cut. They discuss budget issues and working with the studio, as well as stuff about Ben Affleck.
A 15-minute fluff featurette is the only other extra. If you want more, they are all on the crappier theatrical cut.
