Double Indemnity

Read Amber Wilkinson's film review of Double IndemnityThe film has brushed up well, although you sense that they could restore the print further if they put their minds to it. The soundtrack is clear.
Why no subtitles, though? Surely an easy addition to virtually any DVD these days.
The lack of any extras - save for the flimsy six-page collector's booklet - is a real shame. Many other classics have received much better treatment in recent years.
While the film is worthy of buying on its merits alone, this feels like a missed opportunity.
