Eye For Film >> Movies >> Echo Park, L.A. (2006) DVD Review
The extras are basic, including as they do the option to turn on enhanced audio for those who have hearing difficulties and to turn on a director’s comment on the film as it plays.
The commentary is disappointing as for the most part it features the directors and cast chatting about the shots, the script, the improvisation and the locations rather than being a study of how the film is put together. So you are left with the feeling that this commentary is more observational of the shots and the acting and a little self-congratulatory, rather than being instructive.
The one extra that is truly worthwhile is a film about the making of the movie, which is enlightening and almost as heart-warming as the film itself.
