Given that the film is shot on handheld camera and that the sound is, for the most part subtitled, there isn’t much call for prowess from the DVD representation of this film, but the print and sound are as crisp and clear as can be expected from this sort of filmmaking.

As far of the extras go, it’s really more of the same. Split into several sections, they comprise additional footage. In it Lele frequently emerges as almost an interviewer, rather than a participant, which seems slightly odd, as there is still no ‘rounding out’ of the information about this key figure in the lives of the two brothers. Of the additional ‘featurettes’ the segment entitled Kids In Cite Soleil is the most poignant, showing the crushing day-to-day poverty of the people who live there. There is also footage of 2pac in the studio, plus a Wyclef Jean music video.

Conspicuous by its absence is anything at all about the documentarians. Given the obvious danger they, presumably, found themselves in while shooting the film, some sort of input from them would have been very interesting, even if it was only some sort of written interview. As it is, the disc is fine, but still feels slightly disappointing.
