Eye For Film >> Movies >> Hamlet (1990) DVD Review
It is always disappointing when such a fascinating production as this has no extras. A commentary by director Franco Zeffirelli would have been terrific, or even an interview with Mel Gibson, who took a big risk, accepting the role of Hamlet. Before this, he had not tackled anything of this weight. Subsequently, he stretched himself even more by directing and starring in Braveheart and making The Passion Of The Christ in its original language.
Sadly, we can but dream.
