Eye For Film >> Movies >> Home (1971) DVD Review
Metrodome's Region 2 DVD, released as part of its Ovation collection of extraordinary theatrical performances, presents Home in its original televisual format with a 1.33:1 aspect ratio and mono sound. While the presentation is as good as can be expected, bar a scan line or two, there is necessarily little that recommends the DVD format over the original video source, other than instant access to scenes and (putative, perhaps) durability.
There are some extras, in the form of workmanlike biographies of the performers, writer and director, but more here - articles and essays on the piece, contemporary reviews, etc - would have enhanced the package, especially given its likely audience and market.
