Journey To The Centre Of The Earth has been beautifully restored for this Blu-ray edition, bringing back the warm hues and depth of tone found in the original. An accompanying featurette places images side by side so one can see how different versions were used to achieve this. It's not very informative beyond this but it makes its point very effectively and could change how you think about restorations.

Also here is a lengthy interview with Kim Newman, who bubbles over with enthusiasm for the film but also clearly knows his stuff and has a lot to say. Then there's the original trailer, which struggles to fit in all the film's adventure-based selling points; and there's an attractively illustrated info booklet to enjoy.
