Eye For Film >> Movies >> Kennedy (1983) DVD Review
Given the age of the series, it doesn't look too dated, with a clear print making the most of rather flat filming techniques.
There are no extras about the mini-series itself, but four pieces of historical footage which will be useful to students of the period: Kennedy's original inaugural address, his speech in Berlin (see him declare himself a Berliner, or hamburger as he actually said), a stodgy Ministry of Defense (US spelling) film about the Cuban missile crisis and a film about the engagements and events he took part in over the two days before the assassination.
These are all pretty interesting and provide the side-benefit of being able to compare and contrast Kennedy's accent with Martin Sheen's take on it.
