This new dual format DVD/Blu-ray release of Phillipe de Broca's much-loved comedy comes with a hefty supply of extras that will delight fans. They include a detailed audio commentary by film critic Wade Major, a collector's booklet which also provides context, and the original theatrical trailer, a distinctly peculiar piece of work whose oddness suits the character of the film even if it doesn't represent it very usefully.

Michelle de Broca, who produced the film and was once married to its director, fills in details about the production, and there are also interviews with cinematographer Pierre L'homme and star Genevieve Bujold. All three remember it well and have a great deal to say, their enduring fondness a reflection on its staying power as a piece of art.
