Read David Stanners's film review of La Spagnola

Disappointingly there is no featurette, or background into the motives of director Steve Jacobs. It would have been interesting to find out why he chose a combination of Spanish and Italian immigrants in an Australian film with an Italian title. We'll never know.

The quality of print is standard - nothing to write home about. There is a definite TV movie quality about the way it looks and because of the lack of extras there is very little between the DVD and video in terms of user benefit. The whole idea of DVDs, besides enhanced sound and picture, is the special features. Without these, the price tag is unjustified.
