The extras for this Curzon Artificial Eye DVD release are few but enjoyable. There's a clutch of deleted and extended scenes, which demonstrate director Francois Ozon's ruthlessness in the cutting room. None of them would be out of place in the finished film but, by cutting them, he preserves more of the film's tension and mystery.

The Lights and Costume Trials are just about as perfect an accompaniment for the film as it is possible to have. They play out with some of the film's score, like a sort of sinister perfume advert, while also emphasising just how costumes to affect our perception of characters.

Finally the crew interviews, though brief at six minutes, are nicely edited and offer a bit of background in terms of Ozon's approach.
