Le Portrait De Petit Cossette

Read Anton Bitel's film review of Le Portrait De Petit CossetteThis three part series comes in a luscious transfer, with a bevy of audio and subtitling options, so that it looks and sounds out of this world.
All the extras, however, are pretty poor.
Gem is the piece, sung by Marina Inoue (Cossette), that plays over the film’s closing credits, but the additional music video for it here, featuring Ms. Inoue in bondage-lite get-up and her band of hippy minstrels, all traipsing about before a Gothic church, is hilariously bad.
The 20-minute Behind The Scenes featurette has all the right personnel on hand for interview (or at least for sound bites): director Akiyuki Shinbo, writer Mayori Sekijima, producer Ai Abe, character designer Hirofumi Suzuki, composer Yuki Kajiura, and voice stars Mitsuki Saiga (Eiri) and Marina Inoue (Cossette). Unfortunately, it was put together before the series had gone into its proper production phase, leaving all involved with no finished product to comment on, so that their insights are optimistically speculative rather than fully informed.
Lastly, there is a range of ads for this and other MVM titles.
