Both of the discs are presented in an anamorphic 4:3 ratio which boasts a clean and virtually seamless transfer, marked by only latent traces of grain. The original sheen and vibrant colours are retained and enhanced with a high-quality saturation rate that complements Private Hopper’s sensational waking fantasies. The mono-soundtrack also works to good effect, giving the upbeat 1950’s score a clean and crisp finish.

The six episodes are divided equally on each disc, with a Lipstick Jukebox extra which provides ready access to the musical lip-sync sequences. The cast filmographies and biography of Potter’s work round of a respectable package which, while somewhat light on added-value, is relatively consistent which early Channel 4 productions.
