Read The Dude's film review of Me And You And Everyone We KnowThe picture and sound quality are very sharp and translate well to the small screen.
In the interview with Miranda July (28min), the writer/director/actor discusses how her work as a solo performer of multi-part art pieces was the perfect preparation for writing an ensemble screenplay (she actually performed the script of the entire film solo to the DP before production began), how in order to acquire some British funding for the production she had to pretend that her family had strong Welsh roots, how all the characters reflect recognisable aspects of herself and how bored she is with children's sexuality always being reduced to paedophilia.
There is also an EPK-style compilation of interviews (19min), including a longer one with July about her cast and characters, and then shorter ones with actors John Hawkes, Brad William Henke, Brandon Ratcliff, Miles Thompson, Natasha Slayton, Najarra Townsend, Carlie Westerman, Hector Elias and Tracy Wright. The general consensus seems to be that it was the uniqueness of the script and complexity of the characters that made the production so attractive to them. Finally there is a brief interview with producer Gina Kwon, who points out how challenging it is for a first-time director also to play one of the lead parts and to deal with such overtly sexual material.
Lastly, there is some Behind The Scenes footage (7min) of the first shoe sale scene, of "Sylvie" buying a blender and of July directing Ratcliff, Thompson, Slayton and Townsend. This is without commentary, and, despite its brevity, not exactly riveting.
