Me, Myself And Irene

Read Angus Wolfe Murray's film review of Me, Myself And IreneThis is a reasonably good package although you could argue that the film perhaps doesn't warrant it. The transfer is good with a crisp picture and clear sound. A nice (if not entirely intuitive) animated menu takes you to a variety of subtitles, production shots and more.
The behind-the-scenes footage is interesting although perhaps lacks adequate explanation (particularly a surreal Rene Zellweger-praising session), the inclusion of vast numbers of promos is as tedious as it always is and the featurette is regrettably another extended advert. The deleted scenes do add completeness but if you love the movie they may be of interest.
A video from the Foo Fighters is included, but naturally this is a Farelly style video and borrows footage from the film so it's not overly inspiring although the cameos from various actors in the film is quite a fun feature and the track itself is pretty catchy.
The best and most useful feature is the Director's Commentary (with both Peter and Bobby Farrelly) which gives some background to the filmmaking process not to mention the low-down on all those endless extras from home. The Brothers have a good chatty manner and this adds some charm to the usual minutiae of prop design and special effects set-ups.
A good disc for a very average film.
