Aside from a trailer reel there is just one extra on this disc - an interview with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet. At just 10 minutes long, and containing several clips from the film, it is hardly exhaustive, but he still finds time to say some interesting things.

He reveals, for example, that he hardly ever leaves anything on the cutting room floor and, if he does, he would rather recycle the idea into his next film than put that clip on a DVD.

Some of the early part of the interview concerns French comic actor André Bourvil and French poet/screenwriter Jacques Prévert and, since they are not 'introduced' in any fleshed out way, viewers not already familiar with their work may feel frustrated and shut out.

Interesting enough, but slight.
