Read David Graham's film review of Page Eight

This is a very prompt release on DVD, despite the fact that Page Eight is still doing the rounds on the festival circuit. The look and sound are polished, especially for a made-for-TV production, although the extras aren't much to write home about.

They comprise three sets of cast and crew interviews, running at five, 10 and 12 minutes respectively, that began life as part of the electronic press kit. As such, they feature all the key players, including Michael Gambon, Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, Bill Nighy and writer and director David Hare, but they don't offer a great deal of depth.

Worth a look mainly for the little chinks of insight Hare offers into his motivations for writing it and the elements he considers key - "eye contact", "trust".

A more in-depth chat with Hare, however, would have been welcome.
