Eye For Film >> Movies >> Sid And Nancy (1986) Blu-Ray Review
Alex Cox's classic take on punk history is a welcome release for home viewing, and the more so because this blu-ray means one can properly appreciate Roger Deakins' cinematography. The complete package includes a lengthy interview with Cox himself, dressed in a very striking jacket and as full of great stories as he ever was. There's also an interview with Deakins, who reminisces happily about the carefree days when great footage had to be grabbed in secret before legging it to escape the police; and Don Letts talks about the real Sid Vicious and what it was like to be close to the Pistols in the mid Seventies.
