In the spirit of simplicity the extras provide interviews with two actors, two producers and a costume designer.

Michael Fassbender calls Terence Malick an original American auteur in the style of the French New Wave. "His films strike you physically. Great art does that."

Natalie Portman is complimentary about her co-star (Fassbender). "He is alive and intense and so inventive."

Producer Ken Kao is sidetracked by Patti Smith. "It was an inspiration to be around her." You feel the same.

Producer Sarah Green loved working with musicians because of their energy. "We had the tiniest crew imaginable and were able to slip in and slip out." They worked with natural light. No need for bulky lamps. "The chaos of the festival suited our form."

Costume designer Jacqueline West confessed there was no script, only a treatment. "It's much more like a feeling and a mood - brush strokes." As for the clothes, she says, "I try to dress then from the inside out."

These people are interesting and attractive. You want to hear more.

Doesn't happen.
