Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story

The DVD is presented in 1.33:1 full frame and is as bright and clean as a whistle, as you would expect from such a recent, high quality animation. There are some ragged lines here and there, but nothing too terrible.

The Dolby 5.1 soundtrack is a step up from the 2.0 soundtracks of the Season Box Sets, but this movie doesn't really do much with its sound design outside of dialogue. The odd burst of music can come through punchy and loud and with some dimension, but nothing particularly amazing.

The commentary is split into two parts. Seth MacFarlane hosts with some of the writers and later Alex Borstein (also a writer), Mila Kunis and Seth Green join in. They all seem to be enjoying the movie and having a laugh, but every now and again they explain one of the more obscure in-jokes, which is helpful for those who are left in the dark about such things.

An animatic is included. They are always boring. Don't bother.

There is also a (very brief) sneak preview of American Dad, Seth MacFarlane's new animated comedy (think of it as what Futurama was to The Simpsons). It looks good, but how long will Fox ("We cancel EVERYTHING") let it go on before they take it off and replace it with more goddamn Simpsons?
