This Curzon Artificial Eye release comes complete with a decent set of extras although there is considerable cross-over between the cast interviews and the 15-minute Making Of featurette, with the former essentially being the raw footage of the latter.

The Making Of is slickly edited, incorporating behind-the-scenes footage and talking heads of the cast with scenes from the finished cut. The most interesting segments concern the technical aspects of the film, such as the use of colour and costumes and the construction of one of the key tracking shots used in the film. It's also interesting to hear Guillermo Francella talk about taking on the mob boss role after a lifetime of being associated with comedy. The only downside is the decision to run the film's score beneath this feature, which becomes intrusive and annoying.

Director Pablo Trapero is considerably more relaxed and thoughtful in a 30-minute extended interview. He also talks about the decision to cast Francella as a way of emphasising the difference between perception and reality - just as the outwardly respectable Puccios were, in fact, anything but. This interview does contain spoilers so is best watched after the film itself. Unusually for this sort of extra, Trapero also goes on to talk about his next project - The Man In The Rockefeller Suit - which will be his first feature to be shot in English.

A trailer completes the package.
