The History Of Mr Polly

Read Caro Ness's film review of The History Of Mr PollyThe sound and the picture quality are good and the score fits so well it is as unobtrusive as Mr Polly himself.
DVD extras include a Tale Of The Unexpected by Roald Dahl, starring John Mills, called Galloping Foxley about a sadistic schoolboy and his fag who seeks to expose him years later. As with all the Tales Of The Unexpected, it’s fun, intriguing and there’s a nasty twist in the tail/tale!
Also included are two interviews with John Mills, one with Gloria Hunniford in 1986 and one with Mike Aspel in 1987. Both shed some light on his career on stage and screen. Particularly interesting is his reminiscences of the make-up created for him for Ryan’s Daughter by Charlie Parker.
