Aswan Reid as The New Boy. Warwick Thornton: 'It's trying to get recognition of something that is there for indigenous people, that is always dismissed by organised religion, in a way, even though ours is organised as well.'

Copy pictureA visually beguiling piece of cinema which many viewers will be happy to add to their collections, this comes in a very basic Blu-ray package. There are trailers for Out Of Darkness and The End We Start From (the former a little odd in that it claims to represent a time when humans were nomadic, but the film is about unwillingly displaced people trying to establish themselves in a new territory), but there are no special features. The menu system is clean and straightforward, offering scene selection and the option of English-language subtitles.
