Trumpton: The Complete Collection

Read JessPeeps (aged four)'s film review of Trumpton: The Complete CollectionWhatever my daughter says, Trumpton is a blast from the past and we loved it in just the way she says. The tantalising morsel about Gordon Murray is brilliant but it fizzles out to nothing and we don't get much of an insight into this highly creative man's world. The quality isn't great but I hardly noticed and this has probably emerged from some complex digital transfer process so all things considered, it's not bad at all. There are thirteen episodes on the DVD and each one is fifteen minutes of quaint and quirky childhood, filled with familiar things. Well worth a few quid for something that meant so much to my generation.
"Time flies by when you're the driver of a train and I ride on the footplate, there and back again....." Ahhhhh!
