Read Jennie Kermode's film review of Tuesday, After ChristmasRadu Muntean's thoughtful drama works well on the small screen. Some detail is lost in the carefully designed sets and some of the more dramatic shots have less impact, but the additional sense of intimacy and discomfort generated by watching it in a domestic setting more than makes up for that.
Accompanying the film is a lengthy interview with the director that manages to cover a lot more ground than most such DVD features. It's particularly useful for non-Romanians in that it helps to situate the film in the context of the country's troubled recent history. Muntean's personal story is also an interesting one.
Aside from that, the only extra material comes in the accompanying booklet, though it is worth noting that the subtitles on the DVD version of the film have been improved since its festival outings.
