The additional materials presented on this Artificial Eye Blu-ray/DVD release may be short but they are thorough. A 12-minute interview with Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardennes gives a sense of their working relationship even before you consider what they are saying. These are men who work in tandem and have no problem letting one another speak for both of them.

They talk about the need for rehearsal and their working methods, which includes - unsurprisingly given the subject matter of many of their films - equality for all, any sort of actors on pedestals would "interfere with the way we work".

Marion Cotillard is interviewed in English and talks about the challenges of working wiwth a character who "basically has the same thing to say 10 times". In a way, in this four and eight minute interview Cotillard also says the same thing twice but, as with her character in the film, there are subtle details that change and offer additional insight. If you have not yet seen the Dardennes brothers The Son, be warned, Cotillard talks about plot detail from it in her first interview.

The picture, sound and subtitling are all clear and the package is completed with the trailer.
