This offering is just about as basic as it could possibly be, with little in the way of extras. The print is crisp and clear with good colour saturation and no noticeable grain, or bleeding. The sound, too, is fine, although it is probably the subtitles which will hold more interest to a British audience and these are clear, concise and typo-free. The menus are nicely presented and easy to navigate, with some animation.

The star and director filmographies do exactly what they say on the tin, although they are of a decent enough size to make them legible from a distance - something many companies seem to have trouble getting right. Robert Stone's film notes are a bit of a laugh, if only for the chance to nominate him for Pseuds' Corner.

The rest is trailers, both for this film, which could win an award for managing to reveal absolutely no plot detail whatsoever, and for Medem's other movies: La Ardilla Roja (Red Squirrel), Lucía y el sexo (Sex and Lucia), Tierra (Earth) and Los Amantes del Círculo Polar (The Lovers of the Arctic Circle).

It's a shame that the distributors couldn't come up with a directorial interview. A little shedding of light would have gone a long way.
