Whicker's World - Vol 1
Reviewed by: Gary Duncan
Read Gary Duncan's film review of Whicker's World - Vol 1Given the quality of the eight episodes in this double-disc set it would probably be churlish to grumble about the lack of extras, but grumble I will.
Why no Whicker retrospective? His thoughts and comments on the people he's met and the places he's been? Why did he choose these particular episodes?
The sound and picture quality is patchy, but that's to be expected given the age of some of the episodes. The colours are washed out in the Butch Cassidy piece and the gay cop episode, with its out of synch dubbing, is like watching a pirated Hong Kong martial arts film.
