It's a shame that a film which opens up such an unusual issue as intersexuality is so light on extras. An interview with debut director Lucía Puenzo (who adapted Sergio Bizzio's short story for the screen) is sorely missed. There are many technical questions regarding the shooting of the film - its blue palette, the casting - which would have made for an interesting listen.

Instead, we have to make do with an interview with Martín Piroyansky and Inés Efron. The word that can best be used to describe it, is "sweet". Inés is nervous, especially initially and, hugging first her legs and then a cushion allows Martín to do most of the talking, adding the phrase, "I think the same" when she thinks she can get away with it. They're an engaging double act and discuss the difficulties in taking on the roles, how they came to be cast and also touch on the state of the Argentinian film industry. It's a pleasant 22 minutes, but doesn't offer a great deal of enlightment regarding the film.

The drawing gallery comprises sketches used within the film. There is no commentary, so you can make of it what you will. The technical specifications of the package are fine and the disc is rounded out by a couple of trailers for upcoming Peccadillo releases... let's hope that when they get to the DVD release stage they are done a little more justice in terms of extras. Plus credit must be given where it is due, the Region 2 release still contains more additional material than any other region's release.
