Hollywood's original goldenboy - coveted and revered.
[film]As if on autocue, the awards season unleashes its most prestigious awards, and it has to be said - there's not a single obvious unworthy nominee amongst them, and again, no real front runner.
Leading the pack with eight nominations apiece are Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood and the Coens' latest masterwork No Country for Old Men. Following up with seven nominations are prestigious Brit hit Atonement (although no acting nods for Keira Knightley or James McAvoy), and polished high-class entertainment Michael Clayton.
As for the striking writers, will they allow us to watch a ceremony without four hours of barely watchable filler? Who knows...
Don't forget, you can discuss these nominations on our forum.
