The 76th edition of the festival - which ran from August 28 to September 7 - opened with Hirokazu Kore-eda's The Truth, starring Catherine Deneuve, Juliette Binoche and Ethan Hawke.
Director Pedro Almodovar and actress Julie Andrews received Golden Lions for achievement. Cinematographer Bigazzi (The Great Beauty) was also honoured with the Campari Passion For Film award. Todd Phillips' Joker won the Golden Lion. Details of all the award winners here.
