Bradford celebrates world cinema in Bite The Mango festival from September 23 to 29.

The Bite The Mango festival is back with for its 11th year, celebrating an eclectic mix of feature and short films from across the globe.

Running from September 23 to 29, the festival opens with Black Friday, a gritty drama about investigations following the horrific 1993 bomb blasts in Mumbai.

Closing the film is Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who will be talking about his 30-year career in film, which includes films such as Duplicate and Arth.

Other previews and premieres include the sequel to Public Enemy, Another Public Enemy and Ghost in The Shell: Innocence Mamoru Oshii's sequel to his 1995 critically acclaimed animation.

There are also five programmes of short films from countries as far a field as Taiwan, Afghanistan, Iran and the Philippines.

Plus there is a host of film events including a 'pitching weekend' for would-be writers of feature films with Mahesh Bhatt & Samina Peerzada.
