Bright sparks in town

Channel 4's IdeasFactory runs three days of events for film-makers in Scots capital from April 4 to 6

by Amber Wilkinson

Three days of events for film-makers will hit the Scots capital as the final stage of a Channel 4 documentary film-making project.

IdeasFactory: REAL gave four first-time directors the opportunity to commit their work to film.

IdeasFactory senior producer James Estill said: "The REAL project was unique in new talent development terms, and provided first-time filmmakers an opportunity to hone their skills and progress their ideas under the mentorship of some seriously respected professionals.

"These events will provide even more inspiration and motivation for other individuals eager to make their mark in the industry and, ultimately, make a career out of their creativity and passion.”

The final events running from April 4 to 6 at the Cameo Cinema are listed below. All events are free to attend, with tickets available at the Cameo box office on the day of the event.
