Living dead in dead of winter

BFI Imax to host Zombie All-Nighter on January 19.

by Amber Wilkinson

The BFI are helping scare away the New Year blues with their Zombie All-Nighter.

Starting at 11.30pm on Friday January 19, BFI Imax will screen four blood-thirsty blockbusters end-to-end for those that dare to stay the night.

Screening are:

- A small southern US town is taken over by an alien plague, turning its residents into hideous mutant zombies.

- A virus that locks those infected into a permanent state of murderous rage is accidentally released from a research facility.

- Six months after the rage virus has annihilated mainland Britain, the US army declares that reconstruction of the country can begin. But the virus is not yet dead, and this time it's more dangerous than ever.

- Another London-set zombie apocalypse - from the team who more recently delivered Hot Fuzz.

Helping you through the bloodshed will be the BFI licensed bar, providing free tea and coffee throughout the night.
