Spirit Award nominations announced

12 Years A Slave leads the pack.

The nominations for this year's Spirit Awards, the leading awards dedicated to independent filmmaking, were announced today. 12 Years A Slave got the most attention, with nominations for Best Feature and for three of the acting categories, marking it out as a strong contender for next year's Oscars.
