The Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) today announced its end of year awards nominations, with Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape Of Water taking the lead with eight nominations. Call Me By Your Name has six while Get Out and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri have five apiece.

Some categories have more nominations than usual because preliminary voting was very tight, reflecting a diverse set of contenders. Despite this, the nominations illustrate the clear front runners beginning to emerge this year.

The OFCS will be one of the first international groups to declare its winners, with this year's announcement planned for 28 December.
