The Favourite leads in the OFCS award nominations

Now way ahead of the pack in this year's Oscar race, Yorge Lanthimos' The Favourite enjoyed further success in the Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) nominations, which were revealed today. With eight nods, it's followed by Roma and If Beale Street Could Talk, which have six apiece.

The OFCS awards are released at a pivotal point in the season when the emergence of favourites means that voters in assorted awards bodies begin to prioritise which films they watch, a major factor in shaping the race ahead.

The winners will be announced on 2 January.
