Napier Film Society challenges filmmakers to make lockdown shorts.
In response to the coronavirus lockdown in the UK the Filmmaking Society at Edinburgh's Napier University has challenged people to join their "self-isolation" film competition - and donate to charity in the process.

The Film Festival of Solitude, which is open to filmmakers from around the world, is open from now until 5 May, with filmmakers asked to submit their short films of less than 10 minutes in length to the society website. All films must be shot within the confines of the maker's own home and garden.

There is no cost for entry but organisers are asking those who submit to contribute a donation to the Salvation Army via a Just Giving page.

An online screening of the society's six favourites will then take place on the 9 May at 7pm, via Facebook live. All films will also screen on the society's website. One winner will receive £100 towards their next film.
