This year's Oscar nominations are in, two months later than usual but with an exciting diversity of films in the line-up. David Fincher's Mank is at the head of the pack with 11 nominations, in line with the Academy's usual fondness for films about filmmaking. Judas And The Black Messiah has seven, and there's been a strong showing for Lee Isaac Chung's Minari, which has escaped the Foreign Film category which it was shunted into by other awards and tied with Nomadland, Sound Of Metal, The Father and The Trial Of The Chicago 7 on six. With a mix like this it's anybody's guess as to what will win through on the day.

The Oscars will be awarded on the evening of Sunday 25 April in Los Angeles, which is early Monday morning in the UK.
