Everyman opens in Edinburgh

New venue in capital

Everyman's 37th venue will open in Edinburgh tomorrow (April 2). The luxury cinema, which will offer a mix of new releases, independent films and classics is on Level 5 of hte recently redeveloped shopping centre The St James Quarter.

This weekend films screening include family animation Sonic 2, Oscar nominee The Worst Person In The World and superhero Blockbuster The Batman.

The cinema houses five screens, which are furnished with velvet sofas and armchairs, with staff taking direct orders from cinemagoers in their seats.

The cinema chain aims to offer a premium movie going experience, with their press release noting: "The extensive food and drink menu includes premium burgers made from the finest quality Aberdeen Angus beef, served on soft brioche buns and hand-cut skin-on fries. Sitting alongside this, there will be a selection of new vegan dishes including a plant-based cheeseburger, and pizza topped with chargrilled artichoke, sun-dried tomato and plant based mozzarella."

There will also be a full bar.
