Using split-screens with different perspectives can be tricky to pull off - Conversations With Other Women, for example, tried it but fell victim to its own technique.

Here, however, thanks to some clever additional techniques and a snappy and witty script Tim Hunt and Christopher Perkins manage to pull it off.

Sophie (Faye Hunter), dumped and depressed, talks about her ex and his new lover while images of her, him and the 'bitch' are shown preparing for their evening. As the story is told purely from the Sophie's perspective, there is an opportunity to play with expectations - which is exactly what Hunter and Perkins do.

The split-screen style is interesting and keeps the viewer hooked, especially when animated writing - as if scribbled by the wronged woman - overlays the action. That the twist is rather obvious is the film's only failing, since the direction, voice-over and music (by Sean Beeson) are all very slick.
