A Man In The Crowd

We've all been there. That defining moment when you realise your current job may not be for you. Chances are, however, that you won't have opted for anything quite as radical as Andy the fed up estate agent does in this comedy short.
Feeling the weight of his house tours - "I've not had a single day of job satisfaction" - a chance encounter with a blind man makes him embark on an unusual life choice which has serious ramifications at home.
This blackly comic tale works well enough, with director Carlo Ortu's camera capturing both the melancholic aspects of Andy's life pre-change and his pal's discomfort as they try to deal with it. It is a little long at 16 mins, however, and could have done with a more plot to sustain it.
